Wednesday, February 7, 2007
The Atlanta Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities is bringing back a popular fan favorite in 2007, the live Memorabilia Auction. Returning to the Atlanta Motor Speedway just in time for the March races, this event offers fans an opportunity to purchase a piece of NASCAR history.
The event will be held immediately following the Nicorette 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, March 17. Speedway Children's Charities will offer a number of unique pieces of NASCAR memorabilia from autographed sheet metal, helmets, Gary Hill prints, crew suits and much more! The auction is open to the public and everyone is welcome! Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.
Speedway Children's Charities was founded in 1984 by Bruton Smith, Chairman of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. and Sonic Automotive, who wanted to give back to the community. Speedway Children's Charities provides funds to charities that meet the direct need of children. From mentoring programs to camps for special-need children, SCC best affects children's lives by supporting organizations that work tirelessly to see that children's needs are met and that no child is left behind regardless of illness, social environment or disability.
